Trentino & surroundings
A journey between the Alps and the Mediterranean, that from the sparkling air of the Dolomites unfolds in green up to the wonder of Venice
Trentino
A natural environment of incomparable beauty. Three large protected areas, the Stelvio National Park, the Adamello Brenta Park and the Natural Park Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino, which promote knowledge of the area through tours, workshops and research. An ideal destination for lovers of outdoor sports. Mountaineering, walking tours along the web of trails or, for those that are looking for less challenging activities, nordic walking.
For lovers of water sports, sailing and windsurfing in the larger lakes, river rafting or canyoning in the raging torrents.
The vitality of the territory is reflected in the work and products of fields and pastures, from apple growing to winemaking, from the production of berries to that of cheeses.
A rich heritage of art, history, culture and traditions, represented by two major centres, Trento and Rovereto. Trento, the city of the Council, which retains the artistic and historic encounter between the Italian and Central European culture in its prestigious monuments, is today a city of major events, such as the Festival of Economics, to name one. Rovereto, city of the MART, museum for modern and contemporary art, that hosts exhibitions and international events.

Valsugana
During your stay in Valsugana and Lagorai it is worth it to spend some time in touch with nature: that's why we recommend a bicycle ride along the River Brenta, a walk to the Trodo dei Fiori on Pass Brocon or on the green pastures of the Vezzena Plateau, an adventure in the caves of Castle Tesino, or a revitalizing rest at the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo. For Art and culture lovers a visit to Art Sella near Borgo Valsugana or to the various museums in the valley, a trip to the Castle of Pergine and Castel Ivano and the many churches of various countries the valley, are a must.
And to end with a flourish, try the thermal baths of Levico and Roncegno, which offer not only relax but also treatments for the recovery of vital energies, both physical and mental.

Caldonazzo lake and near villages
CALCERANICA AL LAGO
Perched on the hill before descending to the lake Caldonazzo, the village reveals two souls: the lake, that is overlooked by green banks, with its campsites, beaches and entertainment and the hills where the ancient town has its roots, crossed by a road that winds uphill almost spirally. Behind the town the road goes up onto the green Vigolana plateau and to its peaks, that like a natural balcony dominate Valsugana from above. Below lies the Caldonazzo lake, with its piers and, in the warm season, the sailboats, rowing boats and canoes dotting the water.
Worth a visit: the small Roman Church of Saint Ermete, built on a memorial stone dedicated to Diana, the ancient Church of the Assumption and the Mining Museum of Calceranica
CALDONAZZO
A town of definite Trentino features, Caldonazzo is spread over a broad plain between the lake, the orchards that stain the land with green, and the sparkling river Centa. You can wander through its centre, with the narrow streets and typical Trentino farmer-style houses, dominated by the crenellated silhouette of the Magnifica Corte Trapp, a castle-house dating from 1.300, dedicated to St. Sixtus, where once justice was administered. It is situated opposite the church.
Worth a visit: The Church of San Sisto, the Magnifica Corte Trapp, Lake Caldonazzo with its free beaches and Lido.
LEVICO TERME
This is one of the few XIX-century thermal towns that has been preserved in its original design: gardens, footpaths full of flowers, thermal buildings and traditional hotels. A widely visited naturally elegant town, with houses and streets in alpine style. Levico offers its guests thermal and climatic health and well-being, outdoor sports and fun in its hotels and apartments, camp sites by the lake, as well as walks in the hills, among castles and biotopes, or in the historical centre, discovering the crafts and cuisine of Trentino-South Tyrol.
Worth a visit: the Habsburg Park of the Spa, Lake Levico, the hill of the Benne with its fort, the church of San Biagio, with frescoes of the fourteenth century, the ruins of Castel Forest, the spa resort of Vetriolo and the ski-resort Panarotta 2002.
BORGO VALSUGANA
Political and administrative capital of Valsugana, Borgo offers the most remarkable surviving urbanized river landscape in Trentino. Dominated by the imposing Telvana Castle, the town is crossed by the Brenta River, giving it a lovely Venetian feel.
Worth a visit: The Corso Ausugum with its shops and Baroque portals, the churches of S. Anne, S. Rocco, S. Francisco, the Parish church and the monastery of S. Damiano, Telvana Castle (private), the Venetian Bridge on the Brenta River, the Ceschi Mansion.
